"The Pavarotti of Salsa" announced that he will launch his new album, “Que seas feliz,” on Tuesday, December 4th.

The CD includes classics from the Mexican regional genre infused with a contagious salsa beat

“This album was made with a lot of love, so that people can relive, dance to and enjoy these wonderful songs,” said Nieves

This is his first album produced by the label Top Stop Music

November 12, 2012 - F & F Media - Just in time for the Christmas holidays, Tito Nieves wants to delight his fans with a wonderful musical present: “Que Seas Feliz” (“I Wish You Happiness”), his new album to be launched December 4.

“The Pavarotti of Salsa,” as he is sometimes called, said that the album will be a very special Christmas present to his fans because it includes some of the best-loved Latin songs of all time. The album will be Nieves’ first production with Top Stop Music and its award-winning producer, Sergio George.

The CD includes well-known ballads of the Mexican regional genre, some of them made popular by Latin America’s biggest stars. But Nieves adds a new twist to these classics, turning some of them into electrifying salsa arrangements that are sure to delight his fans.

“The album was made with a lot of love, so that people can relive, dance to and enjoy these wonderful songs.” And, he added, “What better time to enjoy this music than in the month of December, just before the Christmas holidays.”

This is particularly true of “Que Seas Feliz,” a favorite romantic ballad written by Consuelo Velázquez and immortalized by Mexican superstar Luis Miguel. Nieves’ version stays faithful to the original arrangement, while at the same time infusing it with contagious salsa sounds.

The Puerto Rican artist will start promoting his album a few weeks before its launching in December. However, his video clip of “Que Seas Feliz” will be filmed shortly, so it can reach the main international music channels as soon as possible, according to Sergio George, who produced the first two promos for this new album.

Nieves has had 16 hits on the International Top Ten, including five singles in first place on Billboard’s Tropical Chart. But, even after his many accomplishments, the singer remains humble. “I have been blessed with both love and applause while doing what I love to do. I am very grateful,” he says.

With over 35 years in the music business, Nieves says he still has the voice and enthusiasm to succeed. “The best is yet to come,” he adds.
