District schools earn President’s Education Awards Program honors

West Palm Beach, FL - by Palm Beach School District - Nearly 50 district-operated elementary, middle and high schools were recently honored by the 2015 President’s Education Awards Program. The awards are given to students throughout the country who demonstrate educational excellence and academic growth in the classroom.

Principals at each of the 49 School District of Palm Beach County schools will decide which students receive the awards from President Barack Obama and U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan. The award includes a congratulatory letter signed by the President, Education Secretary and the school’s principal.

Graduating elementary, middle and high school students are eligible to win prizes in two categories – the Award for Educational Excellence, and the Award for Outstanding Educational Achievement. Eligibility requirements for the awards are outlined on the President’s Education Awards Program website.

The district-operated schools that will participate in the 2015 awards program are:
