West Palm Beach, FL - Palm Beach Children’s Hospital at St. Mary’s Medical Center delivered over 1,000 boxes (15,326 servings) of cereal to three local food charities. The first stop was the Boys & Girls Club in Belle Glade, followed by the Boys & Girls Club in Riviera Beach, and then lastly, the Holy Name of Jesus Food Pantry.
Palm Beach Children’s Hospital along with community partners, Cheney Brother’s Inc., Roger Dean Stadium and Security Self Storage, raised the cereal donations while participating in a National Cereal Drive from May 30-June 6.
The purpose of the drive was to positively impact the growth and development of children throughout the United States by providing breakfast during the summer months. In addition to Palm Beach Children’s Hospital, 15 other children’s hospitals participated in the drive, raising two million servings of cereal across the nation.
