West Palm Beach, FL - Ying Li is a painter known for her highly energetic on-site landscapes that verge on pure abstraction, yet simultaneously are totally convincing as direct visual experience. Her uncompromising sense of personal vision combined with complete abandon in the possibilities of paint, make her work style the epitome of painterliness.
The opening reception will be February 12th, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The exhibition will run from February 12th through March 14th in the Greenfield Gallery.
Ying Li is a painter and Professor of Fine Arts at Haverford College. She has exhibited at the American Academy of Arts and Letters, The National Academy Museum, Hood Museum, the New York Studio School, Tibor de Nagy Gallery, and Lohin Geduld Gallery. Li’s work has been reviewed in The New York Times, The New Yorker, Art Forum, and Art in America. She is teaching a Visiting Master Artist Workshop at the Armory, February 16-20th.
The opening reception is sponsored by Whole Foods Market.
