PUBLIC NOTICE
The Palm Beach County Housing Authority (PBCHA) will open its Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCVP) Project-Based Voucher (PBV) waiting list. for Lake Worth Towers, located at 1500 Lucerne Avenue, Lake Worth, FL 33460. The waiting list opening is ONLY for Lake Worth Towers. This public notice serves as the opening and closing of the Lake Worth Towers Project-Based Voucher (PBV) waiting list.
The pre-application period will open on Monday, July 15, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. (EST) and will close on Monday, July 22, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. in compliance with the Palm Beach County Housing Authority (PBCHA) Management Plan and HUD regulations. Submitting a pre-application provides the opportunity for registrants to be selected from the Lake Worth Towers waitlist. However, submitting a pre-application does not guarantee that the Registrant will be selected.

- Pre-registrations will be accepted 24 hours a day, from smartphones, tablets or any electronic device with internet access at any time the waiting list is open. Interested people without Internet access who wish to register can go to sites with computers available for public use, such as public libraries.
- Paper applications will not be distributed or accepted. Applications sent by mail, fax or hand delivery will not be accepted. Pre-applications will not be accepted at PBCHA headquarters, or at any property owned or operated by PBCHA.
- You must have a valid email address to complete the pre-application and receive notifications from the Housing Authority. You will receive a receipt via email after you submit your preliminary application. Free email accounts are available at Yahoo; Gmail; or Hotmail.
- Registrants must be 18 years of age or older.
- Only one pre-application per adult will be accepted. ALL previous applications containing a duplicate SSN will be disqualified.
- There is no cost to pre-apply, and no PBCHA agent will ask a Registrant for any payment.
Registrants who require assistance completing a pre-application due to a disability and need a reasonable accommodation may call 561-684-2160 ext. 214 during the period from July 15, 2024 to July 22, 2024, during established business hours (Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.). The PBCHA will verify that the limitations imposed by the disability require the requested accommodation. If PBCHA determines that the limitations imposed by the disability do not require an accommodation request, the Registrant must submit their request online.
This number is only available to people with special needs. If you have resources to access the Internet (family, friends, etc.), do not use this number as resources are limited.
- Enrollees with hearing or speech disabilities using TDD or TTY technology can call Florida Relay Services by dialing 7-1-1 for assistance.
- All Registrants who meet the requirements listed above when submitting their pre-applications will have the same chance of being selected for the waiting lists, regardless of the date and time they submit their pre-applications starting on July 15, 2024.
- The PBCHA Administrative Plan dictates the selection of applicants for the HCV program through a computerized random selection (lottery process).
- Once the random selection (lottery) process is complete, PBCHA will send an email to selected registrants to notify them of the selection and next steps.
- Acceptance of an application after the lottery process does not constitute acceptance into any Housing Choice Voucher program or any affiliated program or property.
- Registrants who are not determined to be eligible for Lake Worth Towers will have no additional right or right to be placed on any other waiting list nor will they have any additional right to participate in future selections from the waiting list created hereunder. warning.
- Registrants who wish to be considered for other or future Palm Beach County Housing Authority (PBCHA) waiting lists must apply in accordance with the terms described in such vacancies on those waiting lists.
- Eligible applicants to participate in the Housing Choice Voucher project-based voucher program must reside in Lake Worth Towers for one year before you can apply for tenant-based rental assistance.
- Registrants who wish to be considered for other or future Palm Beach County Housing Authority (PBCHA) waiting lists must apply in accordance with the terms described in such vacancies on those waiting lists.
- The first random selection (lottery) will be held on July 23, 2024. The lottery and subsequent selection schedule will be conducted as determined by PBCHA and will not be announced.
