Palm Beach Gardens, FL - by Tabatha McDonald - Palm Beach State College will hold a forum July 19 for the 17 candidates vying for five contested seats on the bench at the 15th Judicial Circuit Court and Palm Beach County Court.
The Judicial Candidates Forum will be from 5-8 p.m. in the Meldon Lecture Hall at the Palm Beach Gardens campus, 3160 PGA Blvd. It is open to the public. The agenda includes a reception from 5-6 p.m. Circuit Court candidates will speak from 6-7 p.m. followed by County Court candidates from 7-8 p.m. They will present their platform and positions on issues affecting the community and answer a few questions from the audience. All candidates have confirmed their attendance. They are:
Circuit Court
Group 13 — Jordan H. Jordan, Scott Kerner and Alcolya St. Juste
Group 18 —Maxine Cheesman, Marybel Reinoso Coleman and Joseph "Joe" Maryuma
Group 25 — Henry "Quinn" Johnson, Michael McAuliffe and Sarah Willis
County Court
Group 4— Allen "Antonio" Ambrosino, Lloyd Comiter, Gabriel "Gabe" Ermine, Allegra Fung and Ashley Zuckerman
Group 5— Sara Alijewicz, Richard Llerana and Jeremy Zubkoff
PBSC is organizing the inaugural event to help educate students and get them involved in the democratic process. The event also aims to engage members of the community and introduce or reintroduce them to the College. The primary election will be held Aug. 28.
